Vodka Soda Lime = The Best Vodka Drink!
I mentioned above that my go-to drink to order at the bar is a vodka soda lime and that’s just the truth. It’s sour, bubbly, and slightly sweet. Sometimes I ask for a little splash of cranberry juice in there to make it festive!
Below we’re sharing a simple recipe for a vodka soda lime. Remember, you can always add more sparkling water to make it less strong and more simple syrup to make it sweeter.
Simple Vodka Cocktail (Voda Soda Lime)
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz. vodka, any brand will work
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
- .5 oz. simple syrup, regular or honey (or more, to taste)
- 1/2 cup sparkling water, or soda water
- lime wedges, for garnish
- fresh mint, for garnish
- ice for shaking and serving
Instructions
- Place vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, and a handful of ice into a cocktail shaker. Place the top on and shake vigorously to combine.
- Fill a glass with ice and then pour in the vodka cocktail.
- Top the glass with sparkling water and then garnish with a lime wedge and fresh mint.

There are so many different things you can mix with vodka to make a great cocktail recipe. Here are some of our favorite “mixers” or non-alcoholic ingredients that are great mixed with vodka by itself.

- simple syrup

Other alcohols that mix well with vodka include rum, sake, bitters, and liqueurs like Chambord and schnapps.
Can you drink vodka straight?
Yes you can drink vodka straight. We prefer to get all classy and make a vodka martini with high-quality vodka and a side of olives.
